What is your title/practice? VP, Group Manager, Digital

How many people are in your office? 600-ish

In 140 characters, what does your job entail? Thinking strategically yet creatively to solve our client’s challenges by offering the very best that Edelman has each and very day.

How do you commute to work in the morning? The blue line on the El (Chicago’s train).

What might you find yourself doing around 10 a.m. on a regular work day? Geez… it can range from leading a conference call with a client to talking about the industry with fellow PRSA Chicago board members or strategizing social concepts with my brilliant Edel-peeps.

What are your top two sources of news and how often do you check them? I check Twitter and Facebook constantly for news updates. I subscribe to all major news hubs (NY Times, Forbes, Gawker) through these platform. I also use these platforms to get lifestyle updates from brands and rely on the stories that my friends share.

Which social platform do you use most often? My blog, Facebook, Twitter and FourSquare. Since our family lives in other states, my blog is an online scrapbook, capturing and sharing moments of my children growing up.

What do you like best about your job? People. We have the best and the brightest here at Edelman, and I’m incredibly lucky to spend my days with them.

How do you think the PR trends in your region differ from other regions? The social platforms we use vary by region as well as our media consumption habits. But I believe we will start to see an unified global presence from brands in the social space within the next year, and i think mobile / tablets will help drive that initiative.

What’s one thing you wish you knew as a recent college graduate? Roll with it. The best opportunities are usually the ones you aren’t planning for; sometimes you just need to go with it.

What’s your favorite part about the Edelman culture? Edelman’s entrepreneur spirit.

How do you feel that the work you’re doing in PR will #ImpactTomorrow? Bottom line – how brands interact with their stakeholders. I believe the work we are doing is evolving the principles of business, whether it’s how a company is structured internally to how marketing plans are executed. We are at the forefront due to our historical access to C-level executives, media, investors and employees.
